Tanjung Aru Development
Borneo, Malaysia

A new eco-resort that regenerates existing community spaces while introducing a new hotel and leisure opportunities

The Tanjung Aru Development masterplan outlines the creation of a new leisure resort in Borneo. The project will include the development of new hotel and leisure resorts, a marina, golf course, retail spaces and residential zones. These will provide new housing and recreational facilities for the community, alongside creating numerous job opportunities. Parks and local beaches will be regenerated, with both forming part of the first phase of the development.

The Prince Philip Park will include a new public performance space, canopy walkways and an eco-education centre. Movement throughout the site will be enhanced by a waterfront promenade, as well as pedestrian and cycle paths. A new canal, 6km in length and 42m wide, will also flow through the site, along some of the residential areas.

The development has been designed in alignment with Kota Kinabalu City Hall’s vision for a clean, green project that complements and enhances the natural environment.

"Our focus is on creating a world-class, sustainable resort masterplan that will attract investment and visitors, and revitalise the existing Tanjung Aru Beach and Prince Philip Park so that they can be enjoyed by future generations."
