Great design should have a strong narrative. Something to excite, inspire and engage with the people who will be the end users. This section highlights some of our projects that we feel have an interesting story behind, whether it is to do with the original big idea, our process or the final result.

Campbell McDonald
Chair - Employee Ownership Trust
Campbell joined Broadway Malyan in 2018 as the first Independent Chair of the Broadway Malyan Employee Ownership Trust (EOT). He chairs a Board of six other EOT Trustees who are drawn from across the business. The EOT was set up in 2016 to hold a majority shareholding in the business on behalf of all employees.
He is Chief Executive of independent charitable think tank Ownership at Work, delivering a multi-strand research programme into the economic and social impact of sharing ownership and participation with workers and employees.
Campbell has supported and/or helped to run employee and worker-owned organisations since 2008. He was the founder-MD of an employee owned consultancy firm which he ran for eight years and has sat on the Operating and/or Trustee Boards of multiple EO organisations. Campbell is a relentless advocate for deeper understanding of shared ownership through public speaking, business support, specialist training and roles with Government, universities and business standards setters.
