In an exciting new chapter for Broadway Malyan, Ed Baker is announced as new Group Chair

Under his leadership, Broadway Malyan is poised to embark on a significant phase of growth, particularly focusing on its operations in the UK, Middle East, Far East, Africa and India where housing shortages, changing demographics and the growing need for climate resilience demand innovative solutions . Drawing on innovative urban planning from Singapore, Ed is set to further bolster Broadway Malyan’s reputation as a leading centre for excellence and sustainable design across large scale master planning and architecture.With almost two decades of experience in Singapore and other international markets, Ed has led influential and sustainable projects across Broadway Malyan’s global studios including large scale master plans for a new health district in Singapore, the regeneration of a former red light district in Indonesia and a transit-oriented plan for addressing the housing shortage in Bangkok. He will continue to work internationally and also bring this wealth of experience to inform innovative approaches to UK projects."Leveraging diverse international insights, I am dedicated to advance our practice by integrating global innovations with our rich local expertise," said Ed Baker. Following four terms as Group Chair, Stuart Rough will take on a new role as Global Head of Architecture. Stuart will continue to be a guardian of Broadway Malyan’s design quality internationally, undertaking design reviews of large-scale mixed-use projects as well as mentoring talent across the firm's global network.
